Run of the mill fanfiction but make it count towards your reading goal. Would potentially be good for anyone battling a slump or looking for a beach read. Pretty much none of it worked for me; all characters were unlikeable, the plot felt both flat and forced, the pacing was all wrong, the romance was toxic and not believable and the sex scenes were lukewarm at best.

This was a solid read, considering I was looking for something with a lot of familiar, often cheesy tropes and over the top angst. I didn’t care about the themes of grief and just accepted them as tools to advance the plot for most of the book. However, I surprisingly found myself caring by the end of the book.
