Ye Gods, this book was intense. I’m very surprised that I'm loving this series as much as I am, given the nature of the relationships and power plays of profession and sexual intensity. Normally, I’d be raging at the sheer audacity of the heroes and heroine in the combined sexual power struggles, until I realized - that’s part of the point and the heroine isn’t taking things sitting down. As per the first part, Kyra Davis continues to shine in the second part of the Just One Night Trilogy, which has the love triangle struggle coming to a full tilt as Kasie has to face up to her husband’s possession. But all isn’t as clear cut as Dave would like it to be - the tension between them - the “war" if you will, is surprisingly alluring to watch. It’s no longer about love between them, it’s more of a political struggle of career and life ambitions that come to a full stop as possession comes into play. With the help of Tom, however, Kasie has an ally on her side, and to my surprise, things come out in her favor.

She gets the relationship she yearns for, and the chemistry between her and Robert is piping hot. The problem? Well, said heroine’s gone from one controlling relationship to another as things fall apart to a place where she believes she’s left one frying pan, and into another. I was surprised it went in that direction, and man, is it intense. I'm not even sure how this will end, but I'm eagerly jumping into the mix of things. Beautifully written, interesting power struggles, and intense relationships in more ways than one. I'm really intrigued.

Overall score: 3.5/5 stars

That ending was.....unexpected. I don't know if I missed the signs or what, but I did not see that coming. Krya Davis is making this a habit, and I like it. I am left here wondering where the hell does this story go from here?! Did poor Kasie just trade one cage for another?

There was a lot more going on in Exposed, more characters came into play and I don't know what to think of any of them right now! Tom Love....I dismissed him as a pig in The Stranger, in Exposed I loved him, then I wanted to punch him in the face, and then I wrapped it all up with some pity at the end. Asha was a manipulative jerk. There were times in this book where I felt like I was in an adult version of Gossip Girl lol. There was a lot of blind ambition, manipulation, power struggles, and sex. But hey, I liked GG too, so naturally I could get on board with all this. Dave really surprised me in this one, I really was blown away by his actions towards Kasie. By the end though I think you get a better understanding of who he is and why he's doing the things he does. Doesn't really excuse any of them, but there was a better understanding of them. Although its hard to completely villainize him knowing that he was a victim too. Man, when Kasie was fighting back in this book, she was brilliant. I liked her way of handling things. She wanted to make her point and free herself without completely ruining anyone else in the process. It was rather admirable. Mr. Dade.....you really through me for a loop there at the end. I'm not sure what to make of you right now.

All I know is I am dying to know how this ends!! I'm pretty sure the third and final installment does not come out for another month. Why???!!!!!!! After this ending I need to see what happens next! Waiting sucks lol.
