Well...that was one hell of a roller coaster. But it was such a good book. It might've given me whiplash and I might've cried over it like 40 times, but amazing all the same. As much as I wish the series would go on, Obsidio was the perfect ending for an out-of-this-world (see what I did there?) book. Now on to my next adventure

I listened to this book, and once again it was completely fantastic. I highly recommend listening, if you can.

I thought the ending was satisfying, but I was less invested in this one than the first two, it felt a bit slower to me.

Asha is painfully relatable. It might just be me but I thought the ending was a bit rushed. Good times.

THIS WAS SO FUCKING GOOD

WHY IS IT OVER

I WANT IT TO GO ON

Obsidio was truly intense, gripping, and beautiful. The whole novel was beautifully crafted. And up until now, I’m still freaking out about it. It’s just so, so good that I can’t even sort out my thoughts. Simply put, I just loved everything about it.

The multiple sides to the story was nicely done and it wasn’t at all confusing. At times, the authors would cut of one end of the story and re-enter another and one’s just left with a broken heart and the ultimate desire to find out what the flying FUCK happened. Those instances frustrated me so much but it was just so good. It’s like I knew I was going to get hurt all throughout but I couldn’t stop myself because this novel is fucking amazing.

The characters and story telling are absolutely brilliant. The characters were diverse in every way and the heroines were extremely lovable. Each of them were strong, brave, and everything you could ever want from a character. I definitely have a special spot in my heart for all of them.
P.S. What is it with the boys in this series?? They’re so charming and hard to resist!

Obsidio killed me and revived me about a million times. All the books in the series did, actually. I’m going to be honest and say that there were multiple times throughout the series when I stopped reading and put down the book. Not for negative reasons, at least, not REALLY. There were so many twists and so much heart-break that I paused at times.

It’s really hard to believe that this out-of-this-world awesome series is over, and it’s going to take me such a long while to accept that. It isn’t good bye just yet, though. I’m obviously going to reread these babies and of course, they’ll appear on more blog posts!

The Illuminae Files deserve all the stars. It’s such a unique trilogy consisting of a never before seen format and fantastic illustrations. I cannot stress this out enough, this is a must-read series.
