A Jewish Athlete is an account of Kurt Epstein's life, written by his daughter. He was a swimmer and water polo player from Czechoslovakia who competed in the 1936 Olympics, survived Nazi concentration camps and eventually moved to America. A story that's fascinating, horrifying and moving in equal measure, and works to dispel the stereotype that Jewish people are seen as intellectual and bookish rather than athletic.
