Okay, this was hilarious. Rachel’s just moved to a small university town and everyone’s constantly trying to set her up with eligible men; she’s an independent woman and has other things to worry about, thanks. When she overhears a random dude complaining about basically the same thing, she makes him an offer - let’s fake date!

That said, the big misunderstanding makes literally no sense to me at all:

Rachel is rich and hasn’t told Colin and he gets pissed off

. I mean, way to turn into a whiny man-child, dude. Colin was doing so well up to this point, and then he just went flying off the handle - it's not attractive and it's not heroic.
