Been a huge fan of German philosopher and master of the aphorism Georg Christoph Litchenburg. After reading some extracts from his infamous WASTE BOOKS some years ago, I found him to be a wonderful satirist, and adroit purveyor of truth in both life and religion. Part cynic, part optimist, this small selection of Litchenburg's aphorisms is the perfect introduction into the mind of a great, and at times, hilariously creative man.
