I really did not like this book as much as the first one. I felt nothing really happened and I saw it all coming.

A great follow up to the first novel in the series. Looking forward to the third installment!

I loved it. It was just as good as the first, if not better. Jay and Violet take their relationship to the next level as Violet decide on what to do with her abilities of finding dead bodies and the FBI or an agency like the FBI have interest in her and her special powers. i can't wait for the next one.

Ending was predictable and I saw the big plot twist coming. They're trying to set up Violet with Rafe even though her relationship with Jay is fine. It was really good at points, but at other times it went soooooo slowly.

It's really odd. The whole time I was reading this book I knew everything that was coming. It was like complete deja vu. And I don't know how that's possible, since I only got a copy of this book recently. Either I read this as an ebook and I completely forgot, or there is a book somewhere out there that is extremely similar. Both options seem impossible. I don't know.

But no matter, this book is good! The plot is solid and consistent, and the charactersall have such strong, distinct personalities. There are no crazy twists in this story, but in this case, that is a good thing.

This series is definitely a stand-out from all the usual paranormal books. Looking forward to reading the next 2!

I'm really disappointed after reading this.... I loved the first book "The body finder", it was intriguing and romantic but it was lacking both of these for me in this second installment. Violet became too whingy for me, I was thinking to myself while reading one of her complaining rants - "If you just told your mum, dad or your beloved boyfriend about what's going on then you wouldn't be in the predicament you're in!!!!". I realised once I got to the last 100 pages that nothing much had happened. I was waiting for that really exciting thing to happen that would pull me into the story like the first but as I said before it wasn't there. I would put it down and pick it up again just to be disappointed, I think it's because I figured out who the killer was before it was revealed to me and I hate that. I did end up finishing it and will most likely read the next book that comes out hoping that it will be better.... sorry Kimberley!

another good page turner, with some steamy parts, so maybe for the more mature teen reader.

Loved it just like the first one. This book did not really center on dead bodies like the first, but I feel like that is why I liked it so much. Don;t get me wrong there was body finding in the book, but this story was more based on Violet's relationship with Jay and her figuring out how to grow with this gift that she had. This has to be one of my favorite series...can't wait to see what is next in the lives of Violet, Jay and the others.

I really liked it =)
It's way better than the first one, which I didn't like much >_<".
There's more action in the story and more problems to solve :)
It's really good, I can't wait for the third one, The Last Echo ^_^
