Amazing how Kundera makes the heaviest decisions seems irrelevant and the smallest ones do impactful.

pues qué bonito me gustó uno montón. la levedad al final es efectivamente insoportable, y estamos todo el rato buscando peso.. además la vida es un boceto para una una obra inexistente y no hay misión!! cuánta razón yo creo!!!!

At first I was disappointed with this book, which I expected to love. The characters seemed thin, one-dimensional, and the prose felt a little clucky at times, a little... translated.
But by the end, or really at the end, Unbearable Lightness redeemed itself. The sadness that pervaded the latter parts of the book, particularly the very final section was moving in a way I have not experienced with any other book. Not sadder than any other, but sad in a way different to any other. Sadness based in the condition of existence, the unbearable lightness of being.

This is a strange book. Felt like a nice little trip into the rabbit’s hole. Now that I’m done with it, the world looks a bit different, and I’m not sure why exactly. I love it.
