I really liked this short. It definitely makes me want to read the full book. I want to know what happens with Raven!

Again, shallow, but enough to provide a hook which is the purpose of these drabbles - or whatever they're being called! There are several bookish and fairy tale elements that seem to be common-place in this series. For example, "The mirror didn't require a rhyme to work. Rhyming was so last chapter." Also, Raven Queen is the Evil Queen's daughter and, apparently, the Good King is her father? Whatever works!

It’s literally one of the beginning chapter of Story Book Of Legends.
It’s good but I don’t know why they have a whole separate chapter here in GoodReads is all.

This was also in the first book, so read it if you haven't read that yet and you are just wanting to see what this book series is about -Alex

What in Hades did I just read
What was seriously the point of a one chapter book? Such an extreme disappoint if I do say so myself

As with the other prequels, this one is a good introduction to the bigger story of the series.
I really liked the Evil Queen and Good King dynamic as a way to explain Raven's conflict.
This series contains such a cool reversal of the value of evil and disappointment in good acts.
Unlike the show, this prequel give actual depth to Raven's character and shows her in different roles, such as her relationship to Cook's children.
