Some were good, some were bad and others were average. The difference and diversity of illustration choices were interesting at least.

didn't enjoy this.
too many changes to the stories, rhythm and phrasing chopped up such that a lot of the fun of reading Poe's work was lost.
didn't like the art very much either. too dark (I know, I know, darkness is central to Poe) and difficult to decipher in places.

It's important to note that these are adaptations of Poe's work, and not transcriptions into graphic form. Some of the stories are quite brilliant in their artwork. "Usher," for example, is fascinating and deconstructed, which fits with the theme of the story. "The Raven" is also done well, as is "Mr. Valdemar, " which was a story unfamiliar to me. The downside is that oftentimes the stories feel a bit rushed, to their detriment. "Rue Morgue" is one such tale, and it was quite disappointing. Still, most of the anthology is strong and well done, but should not be a substitute for Poe. Read these with a thought to the graphics and what they add/interpret on the text, and then read the originals and see for yourself.
