This e-short story as introduction to the Callahan Garrity series- a teaser to an array of colorful characters, Southern women, and mischief combined with some detective work, garage sales, antiques and other witty humor which will delight! I have read the #1 in series “Every Crooked Nanny” and it was full of wit – look forward to reading the entire series – Mary knows how to entertain!

Years after writing the Callahan Garitty series, the author throws in a new novella. I wish it were longer. House Mouse employee Ruby comes to Callahan for detective help because her grandson has been accused of murdering an elderly man that she cleans for and the grandson does yard work for. Things look bad for Darius until Callahan gets involved.

A crappy short written in the 90s. Didn't age well.
