Overall, I quite liked this book (not a fan of what, to me, was a strange epilogue...but that's probably what I get for accidentally starting with the 4th book in the series).

This was a really great book!! Kath you have done it again!! A few things that annoyed me was that the people in 1229 were talking like they were out of the twenty first century. I'm pretty sure they didn't say things like shut up back then....but maybe they did? I just felt like there was modern language some times and other times it seemed to be language from that era. There were also WAY too many random characters. Someone was mentioned once at the beginning of the book and by the end you are suppose to know who they were talking about. I was a little lost at the end but I got the idea of it. Still pretty good book. HA! Just found out this is book 4 in the series....guess that's why I was so lost on some the characters!!

The book starts with a bit of a mystery, some one keeps breaking into Jennifer's apartment, while they don't seem to be stealing anything it's rather unsettling for a woman to come home to an open door that should have been locked. Deciding on a change of scenery and pace Jen packs up and takes a quick hop-skip-and-a-jump across the pond to visit relatives. While there the family ghosts take it upon themselves to do some match making, though nothing could be so simple and thus we find Jeniffer back in time landing at Nicholas De Piaget's feet.

I admit that I had a hard time with this book, the beginning was funny, there were some nice parts in the middle and the end was both very nice and funny. Those points aside, the plot for me was only so so. The villain was mediocre as were whatever reason he had for stirring up trouble. For most of the book Nicholas made absolutely no sense and Jennifer spent most of the book trying to find ways back to the future instead of trying to figure out why she was in the past to begin with. In the end the beginning and end saved this book for me. 3 stars.

One of the most lovely romances I've read in a long time. I loved that Nocholas was flawed, but was still such a wonderful guy. I already loved most of the characters from reading the other novels in the series, but I was hesitant to like Nicholas, and was pleatantly surprised to find that he is now my favorite man.

I usually love a good time travel book. This book was just too long and I got sick of hearing just how much Nick loved the way Jennifer looked. It was in desperate need of some action and something more happening. I liked that Jennifer was born the same year as I was but I had to push myself to get through this.

I was looking forward to reading this book. There was no suprises and was predictable. Even if this books events were exactly like her onther books, I still think it's worth reading for the ending. And I still think Nick should be the one with black hair!
