A beautiful and deeply tragic memoir of abuse, death, mental illness, and family.

I love the way Christman weaves in photographs from her life. The photographs anchor the story, standing in as memory.

This is a tough read, but the balance of wit and humor from Christman adds levity at times, and the interrogation of memory is deeply interesting.
