I had to read a banned book during banned book week and this was one of the few I hadn't read.
It was funny and adorable and I see why it would be banned - of course that's why I had to read it.

I love the clever way in which this book was written! I can see why my little brother loves them. I enjoyed it thoroughly!! I might just pick up the other ones (for Moz ;))!!!

First time reading Captain Underpants with a child.  Liked seeing the Dog Man comic (which finally answered the question of what Petey originally did to land him in jail that never seemed to be answered in that whole series!)  It's goofy, ridiculous, and doesn't always use correct grammar or spelling but it is very creative and fun to read.

The kids loved this book, of course, because it was funny and had talking toilets and a big robot. I, however, had some real issues with it -- mainly that George and Harold destroyed every invention their classmates created, used another one to get what they wanted, and then still made the kid who did the right thing out to be a snitch. Now I remember why I never liked these books.
