Lots of action, but also in between a few things to think about.
Not much to add, read my review of the first book, sorry for that.
Will probably write a longer review of the third book [b:Deep Sky|12135086|Deep Sky (Travis Chase, #3)|Patrick Lee|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1328304576s/12135086.jpg|17104926].
Highly recommended, fast-page-turner.

Giving this a 4 star, its a bit better paced then then first book, but still a 3.5 but leaning more toward a 4 :)

Fun read, it flows like a movie but with the proper feeling of still being a actual book.

While Ghost Country was an enjoyable read, it lacked the originality and punch of the first book in the series, The Breach. The book could have had a bit more “fizz”. There is enough action, but the pace just feels the same throughout – like a jog. It never really slows down or ramps up. This is a subjective point, though, and some may disagree with me on that point.

The storyline was edited tighter than the first book and made for pleasant and easy reading. It is a fascinating world that Patrick Lee has created. While I am not fond of books set in a dystopian world, this somehow felt different. The idea of time travelling remains an interesting one, and the book handles it quite nicely, albeit a bit simplistically.

In the end, I always evaluate a book wondering whether I want to read the next book in the series. With Ghost Country, I find that I do. The final pages felt a bit rushed, but hopefully, the final book of the series, Deep Sky, will bring some clarity on a few minor details.

Not as good as the first, but still a worthy read.

I liked the first book a little better but this wasn't bad at all.

A little slow at times, and nowhere near as awesome as The Breach, which came outta nowhere and blew my mind. Was still a solid sci-fi conspiracy thriller, and I will definitely check out Book Three

A story of three people trying to subvert a sinister plot to end the world by a few madmen, essentially by traveling through time from the present to a future world of ruin, void of people. How they achieve this remains the question, and will they succeed. You may be surprised by the ending as I was.

As a sequel to The Breach, Ghost Country does not disappoint. Well written. Full of action and non-stop suspense makes for a rather fast read. Though, it got a little muddled at the end. Nevertheless, I've enjoyed all of Patrick Lee's books and look forward to reading more in the Travis Chase series.

Highly recommended to adventure and suspense junkies like me.
