On a different day, a different mood this probably would have been a 3.5 book...today, it's a bit more than that, so it's getting 4 stars.

I enjoyed that it was a different take on the 'supernatural' things/folks are out there. I also liked that the various gods/demigods weren't all from the Greek and Norse pantheons, but encompassed more with great story bits of the other patheons included.

I went this entire book and never once realized the MCs were supposed to be in their late twenties. I thought they were 18/19 tops. Now, if they WERE 18/19 then they are great characters and the banter and joking are cute (because immature is cute when you are not quite an adult)...but now that I know they are supposed to be pushing 30 it makes them seem really idiotic and childish.

There were way too many gods with way too many odd names for me to keep straight....the battles were anticlimactic and the love story is underdeveloped and forced. I can understand how a romance could bud between the two MC but making it destiny kind of takes the fun out of it.

Was this an easy and entertaining read? Yes. Am I inspired to read the next books? Meh....I don’t know. Cameron is my favorite character but I just don’t think that even with his godlike strength he has the power to hold me.
