We listened to this in an audiobook driving to Arizona. At first, I thought we were listening to a children’s book, but by the end I was in tears. The book is much deeper than you would expect. I recommend it for children and adults alike.

Very cute. I will start to look up at the sky and wonder if the sheep ate the flower now.

The Little Prince leaves his planet (and three volcanoes and a Rose) to explore the universe. He comes across different planets, each with a different man on it that unknowingly teaches the Little Prince something...until he arrives on Earth. There, he explores Earth until he comes across the narrator, who is stranded in the desert after a plane crash. They have many conversations about life, mistakes, regrets, and the things people hold dear to them. The Little Prince leads the pilot to a well (saving his life), but is "sent" back to his planet through a snake bite.

The first time I read this, I absolutely loved it. On re-reading, I think the true beauty is in the chapters with the fox. Could be a bit too abstract for children...so be sure the child you are sharing it with can understand (or be ready for many conversations).
