A tough read to be sure—it took me about 6 months to fully break through it. Once I did, though, it was incredibly rewarding. The characters are diverse, vibrant, and incredibly human. If you can hold out till the last ~150 pages, all of the development earlier in the book pays off spectacularly. A masterpiece.
