Modern college AU of Lovecraftverse. Just not my thing.

This was entertaining, and that's about all it can be said about it. It doesn't have a great story or great characters. And, in what seems to be a permanent (and annoying) characteristic in these Audible Original audiobooks, the sound effects are extremely loud and distracting and, at points, even interfering with the dialogue.

So... nothing special, but not outright bad. *shrugs*

This one didn't work for me. While a similar kind of production to [b:Locke & Key|26225895|Locke & Key|Joe Hill|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1441385552l/26225895._SX50_.jpg|46920430] and [b:The Sandman|53406893|The Sandman (Sandman Audible Original, #1)|Neil Gaiman|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1594334294l/53406893._SX50_.jpg|82626543], it lacked the story, excitement and characters that made those work.

Not even Stanley Tucci could save this one for me.

A Lovecraftian radio play. Stanley Tucci was outstanding, and this was strong till maybe 2/3 of the way through, but then it just got rather loud and muddled. It’s hard to follow action in just audio form. Also, I wish they would have pronounced Innsmouth correctly.
