Okay, okay, I absolutely did not cry towards the end of this novel...Just a few drops. Network Effect encompasses all that made TMBD great: action, emotions, conflicts about emotions, depression, sarcasm, and media! I cried, I laugh, and I experienced a whole range of emotions from having a full-length novel about Murderbot. Just muwah.

Despite the novel about Murderbot, I felt that its narration gave perspective and depth to a number of characters, such as ART, Thiago, and Amena. Just muwah. Also, the world-building about the Corportation Rim, lost colonies, and alien remnants was both informative and immersing. And it akes me dread what kind of capitialistic society our world could evolve into lol. I am so excited to read Book 7 and catch up with the series, but Martha Wells has definitely secured herself as one of my favorite authors.

Always a joy to revisit Murderbot and the gang. As per usual, I’m not sure I fully understood many of the action scenes, but that is so not the important part. Wells’ characters just shine on the page and Kevin Free is an amazing narrator. I liked the longer story format which provided more time for character moments. A criticism I have with this one is that I felt like I was missing something much of the time. Come to find out that the next book in the series fills in some of those gaps. It would’ve been nice to have that information already but whatever.

I love my emotional support AIs I love you murderbot I love you
ART I love you murderbot 2.0 I love you a three
I love you Preservation crew. Everything I've wanted from a murderbot novella (more in depth, longer, complexity you can get from a novel with length). A++

Lovely to see SecUnit get a full-length novel. Despite being three times as long as the previous ones, still every bit as easy to read.

Didn't find interesting enough. The protagonist is boring, the narrative is always the same

Super engaging storyline and a lot to think about in terms of modern day corporations.
