4 Stars!

I keep reading and reading and things are coming to light despite the fact that I still have no clue as to what the hell’s going on!

That’s apparently not going to stop me from continuing!

It's starting to pick up and get more interesting. Things are finally making sense and John's storyline is /finally/ progressing. This one was really good, it had more Kyle and I love him. I don't know how to feel about Ravishan, I think he's adorable but knowing how the story pans out I'm afraid of what's going to happen with his character.

I really like how the story is split between the future (ish) and the past/present (it's so confusing at first omg) and so you know where John's story ends up as we read about the present. It intrigues me but also saddens me because we're growing attached to where John's story is going and the character's he interacts with knowing he ends up in a completely different place.

Also the world is making a lot more sense and It's so unique. I like the idea of grey space and the usage of it, I hope we get to see more of the Kahlil's powers because that was really cool.

Spring 2023 (April);

Doing a full-on set for all ten/eleven of these novellas, read for another game. They were an entertaining but very simplistic read. I did love seeing how everything came together toward the end, slotting details in from the beginning, but there were a number of problems with only a handful of people spotlighted and a lot of details about them unknown, too.

SpoilerA love confession, a gentle kiss, and a... 'No, we can't do this'. I have the feeling that the unsolved sexual tension in this series will be killing me.

“Lonely, handsome, and completely infatuated with you,” Laurie replied. “You’re a total sucker for that kind of thing.”

Yes, Laurie, I'm a total sucker for THAT kind of thing. I need more of Ravishan being hopelessly, desperately in love with John from John's POV!
