Enjoyable, a bit short, but then people say that about me so no offense.

3 stars. This was fine. Not sure if this was originally DWP fan fiction but it definitely read like it was. I just didn't like the characters here. This would've benefitted from being a bit longer to flesh the characters out more because as it is they were pretty flat.

2.5 stars - short story with promise

It has the bones to be an interesting story but for me it doesn’t quite work as-is. I don’t really have a good idea of the relationship between the ice queen and her asst beyond the broad strokes of the trope. Since I have no emotional investment in their relationship I don’t really care what happens. Yes, I know it’s a short story but still.

The asst seems to flip flop between lust and anger. I found it annoying. And ye old miscommunication chestnut rears it’s grizzled head.

I think there is a good story in here, it just needs work.

Fun!

I liked this novelette! I only wish it was longer. I liked the dynamics and tension between Chloe and Monroe.

Quick and dirty disease outbreak + quarantine romance. I think the boss in particular could have benefitted from being a little bit more fleshed out, as it was really tough to get a read on her, but then, that's also the Devil Wears Prada trope at play.

Short and sweet. Just what I needed. I’d love to see these characters again though!

Amazing

The dedication page "anyone who is funnier online than in person" had me grinning from ear to ear and it only got better from there. I'm pretty sure I read this without blinking for fear that I'd miss a quick witted barb or retort. The MCs chemistry was palpable. The could be bickering, staring at each other in silence, or clinging together in sex and you could feel the passion leaping off the page. It was all insanely well written.

Great first story

I hope we see more of Monroe and Chloe. They have a nice power dynamic going on. I look forward to more from this author.
