The book was very well written, but that's about all I can say. The plot made no sense what so ever, and the story was all over the place. It was really hard trying to separate everything and figure out what was going on. The worst part was that the first half of the book was ONLY about the characters and their lives. It seriously could have been cut in half at the very least, because within the first chapter for each girl you knew their personality and had a pretty decent understanding of them. It was just poorly put together and kept going on and on. Later in the book I had problems trying to figure out if something had really happened. There were three little subchapters, for lack of a better term, one for each girl, that pretty much made no sense at all. Overall, the book was just too confusing.

This was probably one of the most ridiculous books I have read in a very long time. The plot was just odd and it made no sense most of the time, the characters were awful and I felt so disconnected to all of them and it was just generally terrible. The only reason this book got 2 stars rather than 1 was because I managed to finish it, which was a struggle at times.

I really had a hard time getting into this book. Some 300 pages in and I still wasn't sure I even liked the story - but I plowed through and finished it. It's the first in a trilogy and as much as I'd like to give the author and the series the benefit of a second chance, I'm not sure I will.

The story seemed very very slow to unravel and even at the end it was still murky and bogged down in a lot of places and very rushed in others. Characters don't seem true to their original outline, we don't get a lot of background, behaviour changes feel rushed.

I think the author has an interesting premise - perhaps - it's so hard to tell when the story feels so nebulous. Better luck on the 2nd installment!

I got through about half of this one when I put it down to read something else. Overly descriptive and slow moving plot had me flipping pages rather than enjoying the story. I really don't even remember much of what I read, it was too boring. I'd avoid this one.
