This book was slow at the beginning, but quickly sped up. I love Dax and Paisley's connection in this story, and I am so excited for the next in the series!

Just finished this morning, and I felt like I was going to cry, and that normally doesn't happened. It's rare for me wanting to tear up.
This is definitely a series and I'm not sure if my library has the next book, so I'll have to hold off on reading this. Part of me also wants to see a TV series of this.
The world of this book, though centred in London have me 'Neverwhere' and 'The Golden Compass' vibes, steampunk meets fantasy. Dragons are at the forefront of this story.
I liked Paisley and Dax' family relationship the most, I wanted Roach to have a redemption arch so maybe that's in the next book. Uncle Hector was okay until he wasn't. The Dark Dragon was also interesting, especially with the backstory added to her character. I look forward to seeing Paisley and her fight again.
