It's very interesting reading a biography for a director who grew up without the influence of Cinema shaping their childhood. Buñuel's writing is expectedly poetic, but it definitely lacks in parts. His writing goes off on many diatribes and anecdotes, and through this he paints a very clear picture of his interests, philosophy and politics. As much as I don't agree with a lot of Buñuel's conclusions on his political musings, his philosophy is certainly interesting and unique, and arguably the most interesting aspect is the instance of the lack of meaning behind his films.
