I really liked this book at the beginning and then the middle sort of dragged on and on, with nothing really happening. I also grew really tired of the way the dialogue was written. It seemed innovative at first, but eventually just felt weird. The end of the book was really powerful, but I'm not sure I buy it. It kind of feels like the author knew I was getting bored and created a situation to suck me back in. It worked, but it also pissed me off. The end is heart-wrenching, though.

Declaring literary blogging bankruptcy as I'm now eight months behind on logging books read and I would like to get back into the swing of things without dropping further behind!

Good, but very sad. I sobbed at one point.
The ending left things a little unresolved.
