I really enjoyed this! It reminded me a little bit of a morbid Harry Potter. Definitely gives all the gothic, spooky, dark academia vibes. I loved the magic systems and the Yale setting. I will say it did seem to drag a bit at places. It was never boring but it felt very long as I was reading it. Will I read Hellbent? Absolutely! But I’m also willing to wait until January for the paperback version to come out.

This is DEFINITELY adult fantasy, and not because of the spice. I would definitely check content warnings before going into it.
