Difficult to get into. Could be a good choice for MG students who have lost someone close to them.

Sweet tale of a girl mourning the loss of her beloved father. They shared a love of space and astronomy, and as a result, her grief takes the form of a black hole that "follows her home." At first, the black hole is a charming (if annoyingly destructive) pet. However, as Stella tries to repress her grief, the hole becomes larger and larger, eventually consuming everything, including Stella, her little brother Cosmo, and their new dog. They all must work together to navigate their way out of the black hole, as Stella learns that the mementos of her father don't have to be painful, they can be reminders of the love her father had for her.

Picked this up on a whim for a light read, and was pleasantly surprised by its depth. This one made me laugh and cry (in other words, a 5/5).
