given the time period it was written in, i found it very unique and easy to digest as it was so short.
loved the eerie atmosphere, i think that’s where this novella shines the most. i also love vampire stories though so i might be biased 🖤

I actually liked this better than dracula, it was very vibey and easy to read and understand. Plus there was a lesbian vampire? From a book published in the 1800s? You can't beat it. It's so short that it's easily worth the time. It went pretty overboard describing things at times and said a few things repeatedly, which sucked because the book was already so short as is.

the vibes were there. the beginning was built well; interesting and mysterious. the rest of the book was rather disappointing. the reveal was boring, the plot was boring.
