Just right amount of sweet fluffy romance and action/adventure!

I just want to bask in the sweet glow of this heartwarming romance! Everything was just right. The hero and heroine balanced and complimented each other and there was just enough plot to do with action and mystery and this balanced out the mushy gushy romance and passion. The side characters were great too! I don't remember reading the previous books in this series but I haven't missed anything by reading book 7 as each book can be read as a stand alone novel, but there are plot and character connection throughout the series. I can't wait to read more books in this Scifi alien romance series!

I almost want to give this a 2 star because of the far fetched fighting and then coming back from the dead, but... the romance and erotic was pretty good so it was really good in points. The frustration with the fight scenes that were overly out numbered and outclassed, were about to died yet get last minute saves, more than once, life held on by a thread and again last minute saves that get drawn out. Well I had to take it down. The erotic romance deserves a 4, the fighting and descriptions deserve a 2. She is really frustrating in the fight scenes.

Another good romp. The action flows seamlessly, with the fight scenes quite filmic. Several new monsters and other lifeforms add new obstacles, flavor, and complexity to Kor Magna.

As for the romance, we have two likable, believable lead characters who work well together. They get up to some pretty hot hijinks together, and I always wanted to cheer them on. Vek may be new to relationships, but he does his best by Mia. Mia’s coping with a lot of baggage, but she faces it and tries to help others with the resources she has.

Read the other books first, though! They give a lot more background on the other characters and world, plus initial glimpses of Mia and Vek before their story. I read a review copy.

Series: Galactic Gladiators #7
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

Rescued by the gladiators of the House of Galen, Mia is now determined to help them find the other missing humans. But she is also determined to help the blue beast alien who helped rescue her. The more time she spends with Vek the more she is drawn to him and soon she doesn’t want to let him go.

Finally Vek’s story! Vek has had a terrible and tragic life. He has been a slave, pumped full of drugs, and has been forced to fight to the death. The only person who has ever gotten through to him is Mia. She sees his true self not a monster. Vek melted my heart with his protective and sensitive soul.

Mia was a very determined woman. She was determined to show Vek what real freedom could be like for him. I really liked how supportive she was of Vek, even when things got hard she never gave up on him. Mia also is a fantastic singer, is a pilot, and has many other careers. She saw this as a negative but to me this is just her living a full life. She is a well rounded woman and can do many things and I think that was great! I do hope we get to see more of her singing in the future though because clearly she had a good voice.

As always with this series, this book was nonstop action and romance. I love that this world keeps growing and more characters keep popping up. I can’t wait to learn more about Neve. She was such a mysterious and dangerous woman that I know her story is going to be a good one.

Virgin alien MMC! I like him and his sweetly protective side, although he has his raw, primal edge. The FMC is protective as well, as everyone viewed him with a sense of wariness due to his uncontrolled behaviour due to torture/drugs since childhood. Their romance feels less insta because their connection built a strong attachment in previous books. But I did wish that there was more to the virgin alien MMC trope, as he turns into a sex god after the initial fumbling, lol.

You'd never believe that one tiny Human female could bring a giant, blue, alien warrior to his knees!

In the other books in the series we have seen little glimpses of Blue, AKA Vek, and Mia. She seems to soothe the savage experiments and training that Vek has endured. He doesn't know how to cope without her but he is also worried that he may inadvertently hurt her.

Mia is still recovering from her brush with Catalyst. Vek, whilst welcome within House of Galen is still essentially a prisoner on lockdown until they can be sure his aggression is under control. But as Mia entices him to take steps into public and watch the Gladiator shows and learn to be around fighting which doesn't involve fights to the death!

When the Gladiators get a lead on the missing girls, the Gladiators realise Vek is their best best on finding them. Dangerous terrain beckons and a new species may be more trouble for our favourite alien warriors.

Vek is big, blue and when you think he'll be over the top aggressive he is actually very sweet and caring. Mia's voice is the key to his mellow moods and I loved their sweet courtship. But when the passion ramps..OMW it is off the charts hot! Fantastic read.

Sadly, I am done with this series...at least until I find myself desperate for something to read. It’s sad because this series started off so strong. I read all of them up to this one in just five days!

And even though they are cheesy and predictable, I felt the characters were fun, the world was interesting and I was highly entertained....until I just wasn’t anymore.

Does EVERY single book have to be the same? Like....does the author just copy and paste into a special formula which then pops out a book to placate her fans it’s insulting.

And as the books go on the actual story lines are getting smaller and smaller and the sex scenes are getting longer and longer and the romances are more forced and not even cute anymore.

I was so intrigued by Vek....but she ruined it with hackneyed over done tropes from every other series out there. Seriously? “Mating fever?” In the middle of a rescue mission? Fucking ridiculous even for a cheesy sci fi romance novel.

So....even though I’ve been waiting forever for Galen to get some action I think I’m done for now. Lazy writing is a pet peeve of mine.

Mia is determined to find and rescue her abducted (twice!) friends. At the same time, she is the only person who can soothe the savage Vek, a beast of an alien who only knows how to fight and kill. I’m a big fan of the unstable monster boyfriend trope and Vek is a pretty good example of it. He’s dangerous to everyone except Mia, which makes my cold heart squee. Hacket also really knows how to write action and adventure. The book is a lot of fun, plot-wise, and has plenty of heat and sweet lovin’ too.
