Clunky, doesn't flow well, but cute. Intentions are good ;)

A nice quiet story that evokes the dog days of summer.

I love the captivating illustrations and the leisurely pace of the book that captures the spirit of summer. While one or two illustrations featured non-white characters, it seemed like a missed opportunity to not add more diversity into the mix. Despite that quibble, this is a lovely book that I could see being enjoyed by a variety of ages.

This was a cute book about all things Summer. It feels very nostalgic, and would be a great checklist to try to complete during the summer, which is full of fun things to do!

This story is very simple but definitely made me feel nostalgic for my childhood summers and the feelings around them. Wonderful story to excite children and start a conversation before summer begins.

"And Then Comes Summer" made me remember all of the reasons I love summer. The text takes readers through clothing changes (flip-flops), bike rides, the jolly music of the ice cream man, fourth of july fireworks, camping at the lake, eating s'mores, listening to stories and staying up late. And most importantly, enjoying every minute of it! Road trip anyone?
