3.5 Stars. I liked most of them, loved a few and disliked one in particular. Pirate tales that ran from historical, fantasy, steampunk, contemporary, and scifi.

I now truly get the discourse about (straight?) cis women writing m/m romance. With one or two exceptions (this anthology contains a couple of good stories), borderline offensive and fetishising clichés abound. The settings and the characters are often fun, but most authors' extremely transparent views on queer men spoil the fun.

A good mix of stories in the anthology. Some were really good, and some were not exactly to my taste. But overall pretty interesting.

That was so good! :) I didn't think I would like the pirate stories as much as I did! <3
