Holy cow! I have devoured this entire series this past week or so! And each book has only gotten better!

This was the wrap-up for Harlo (Low) and Ever. I have loved Harlo from the first book (Sara and Adam's story), and she doesn't disappoint. Her spitfire personality keeps everyone on their toes. But Ever? Oh my God how I love Ever!! He is tenacious in his pursuit of Low, and I love his character!

It was great seeing all these characters one last time, although I will miss them greatly. That will just mean that I will have to reread soon!

My only wish is that I wish we had gotten a glimpse of Charlotte and Delilah.

I highly recommend!!

After the way Low Over High ended, I had to start Ever Over After immediately. I was extremely happy to see that not only had Marlo been able to move forward in her life and start a career that made her happy, but Ever had been able to do the same. As much as I loved Ever and Marlo together and hated to see them split up so soon, I think the time apart did them good and allowed Ever to heal.

Marlo's nightmares and struggle to keep herself together made my heart hurt for her. I realized that even though she had finished school, made new friends, and started a career that makes her happy, she hasn't really dealt with what happened to her. She just buried it deep inside and tried her best to keep it there. Ever Over After brings both Marlo's and Ever's stories full circle, individually and together.

I had been anticipating this book ever since I finished Low Over High, and it sure was worth the wait. Since this is a duet, you do need to read Low Over High first. I loved how Marlo had grown since we last saw her...at least professionally. Emotionally she still had a ways to go, understandable due to all she had been through. Ever had grown as well...professionally. It was fun watching Ever wear Marlo down enough so they could speak face to face. Watching Ever trying to break down all of the walls Marlo had built around her. I'm not going to get into the story more, but I am going to say you will not be disappointed with the finale of this duet. Thank you for another amazing book J.A.Derouen!!

I love all of this author's work and this book was no different. Ever Over After is written in both Marlo and Ever's POV, taking place years after Low Over High was set. I felt like Marlo was the more broken one now and I felt for her so much throughout. I loved Marlo's whitty humor but was kept on the edge of my seat waiting to see how situations would play out.It was neat seeing the characters from the other books as well. I do not feel there were any spoilers but liked that I had read Storms Over Secrets before this to have a bit more of the characters history. I would have liked to see more of what Ever went through during the years in between. I would love to see more from them both.

I have read every book by this author and have enjoyed each one more than the last. This book has been no exception. This was the perfect ending to low over high.

The conclusion to this duet was no less than epic. Seriously epic. I loved book one in the duet and I wasn't sure if I could love the characters more than I already did. What's not to love? A sassy southern Marlo? A sexy, swoony Ever? A story that's full of heart, heartbreak, sexiness, laughter? You can't beat it. I love Marlo and Ever. I wish their story wasn't over because I just can't get enough of them. Definitely pick up both books today!!! You won't regret it! If anything, J.A. DeRouen will have another fan for life!

I didn't think I'd be happy with the way Marlo and Ever's story continued but alas, I was wrong.

So you know what, I'm gonna keep this one short and sweet: Grown up Marlo made my heart soar and grown up Ever got me hooked and addicted.

Great story. Just an all around great story.

Ever is trying to win back Low. He is not willing to let it go. Ever doesn’t know everything that happened when he was sinking low. He has no idea that as he neared his rock bottom, Low had hers fall out from underneath her.

Marlo is jaded. Love is grand for everyone else, but for her – nope, not gonna happen. Her heart still beats, but long ago a boy broke it and it still hasn’t healed. But Ever isn’t walking away and is going to show Low just how he’s changed, how much she still loves him and that sometimes you have to forgive and risk everything you fear.

These two are broken. Can they mend the pieces to fix there hearts to love one another again? This book pulls at your heart.

What an amazing and emotional conclusion to Ever and Low's story! Ever Over After takes place 8 years after the end of Low Over High and though both Low and Ever have moved on in their lives as best they can, it's clear that the scars of the past have altered the trajectory of their lives. This is book 2 in the Over duet and should be read after Low Over High.

Ever and Low will go down in my book as one of my favorite ships ever. They are raw and real and are both so beautifully broken. They have had their moments of rock bottom, but have crawled out inch by inch. They know that they will likely battle their demons for their entire lives, but both have risen up, if not for themselves, but for those that they love. I also loved that both Low and Ever have found themselves in fulfilling careers that spoke to their souls.

There was a lot of angst this time around, as the innocence and power of first love has been replaced with the fear and pain of opening one's heart again. Low is intent on keeping Ever away from the heart that she has buried so many years ago, while Ever makes it clear that he is no longer the boy he once was and will fight for the love he foolishly let slip away. This push and pull was heartbreaking, but felt necessary to show that Ever has matured and taken responsibility for his life and actions and that this time he would be the rock and anchor to Low. I was very thankful for Jeb, who brought a lot of much needed levity to the story. I'm hopeful that one day he will get his own book.

This was a powerful story of forgiveness, healing, and redemption. I liked that the duet focused not only on Low and Ever's journey back to each other, but also their individual journeys as well. Seeing Ever forgive his mother and his struggle to heal from his addiction and the loss of Easton was incredibly cathartic. I do wish that we would have gotten more about what Ever's life was like during the 8 years between the 2 books, but it made my heart happy to see both their lives come full circle and move forward. I may not agree with all the decisions our characters made throughout this duet, but I understand why they did. Baring yourself and allowing someone to see your darkness and sharp edges and asking for their acceptance is absolutely terrifying. If you can come out on the other side stronger though, there really isn't anything in the world greater than that kind of love. I truly enjoyed this duet and am a proud card-carrying member of the Unicorn and Glitter club!
