Ein wirklich sehr spannendes Buch mit wahnsinnig guten Charakteren und einer mitreißenden Handlung. Ich hätte nicht erwartet, dass ich das Buch so sehr mögen würde!

Enjoyed this one. But I can't say I'm surprised, I read 'One of Us is Lying' first and enjoyed it as well. I'm definitely going to be picking up more from her and reading them as well.

We have to appreciate the irony of fate: I finished this book in one day and the story of the book happens on a single day.
Let's talk about Boney Mahoney. He is dead and may he rest in peace, but it is rather inconvenient for a reader wanting to laugh every time the name of the victim is mentioned. Definitely the best name I've read in a while. By the way, his actual name is Brian Mahoney, his parents did not hate him.
Well back to the storyline, Ivy, Mateo and Cal are old friends who stopped having contact but randomly skip a day of school together. They spot their classmate Boney Mahoney walking around suspiciously and decide to follow him. They then find him dead in an empty building and the big question is who killed him? And that's the fun of this murder mystery.
I will probably never stop fangirling over Karen M. McManus murder mysteries and this is no different. Just when I thought I knew what was happening it all changed. You would expect me to learn about solving murder mysteries over time but nope... did not happen and honestly I hope I never will, it's too much fun to be surprised. The plot and twists were the best part of this book.
I'm not the biggest fan of the main characters. You can't compare them to "One Of Us Is Lying" or "The Cousins". Don't get me wrong, I still liked them but sometimes they were weird. Maybe it was also the fact that the plot happened on a day in which character development felt very squished together. The small love story between two characters - which always happens in a Karen M. McManus - was not my favourite. But I was laughing very much in the last scene.
