This is a GORGEOUS book. Written simply for juveniles or teens, it tells the story of David chihuly and his glass blowing art.
Makes you want to take a road trip to Seattle.
Recommended.

Beautiful full-color photographs are the highlight of this book about glass artist, Dale Chihuly. They show the range of his career and how his work has changed over time but also include photos from his childhood and personal life. The text also covers this span of childhood, personal life, and career in an engaging and informative manner. It is well suited to a 5th-8th grade range and is a good introduction but is certainly not comprehensive, as is to be expected with only 60 pages to cover so much material. I appreciated the quotes from Chihuly, his candor about his struggles with mental health issues, and was also interested to find out why he wears an eye patch. (You have to read it yourself to find out!)
Text features include chapter notes, selected bibliography, a list of where to see Chihuly's works, photo credits, index.
