What a book! The size compared to the previous and then the plot expanding on the world and introducing us to Luukessia, where spellcasters do not exist. We get to see Cyrus leading his group for a cause rather than for some loot.  Whilst back at Sanctuary there is no rest for the remaining guild members as they are under attack from the dark elves. Tension was kept high as we were kept between the two worlds of battle and watching our characters face difficult decisions.

Another thing that keeps you guessing is the prologue is set in the future and hints at what must have happened at some point, so it is just waiting to see as to how we ended up there and what we had to lose in the process.
