evavroslin's review against another edition
5.0
If you ever wondered what it would look like if True Blood mixed with Goodfellas, you’ll get the answer in the new novel from Carl Alves, Blood Street.
With an interesting take on vampire origins and world-building as well as giving some of his mob characters a face lift from the usual stereotypes,
Blood Street makes for an entertaining page-turner. The mob and the FBI, sworn enemies, may have to become unlikely allies when they realize there are vampires at play in South Philadelphia, and the ending sets up a satisfying conclusion that leaves things open for a sequel. If you've always wanted a story that puts vampires and the mafia together, you've got a great one with Blood Street.
