Total nonsense with underage partying! I totally get what a 'beach read' is now. And if I find anything else in the series for 49¢ at Salvation Army, I'll totally pick it up.

The only reason I didn’t completely love it is the fact it’s written in three girls perspectives, but in third person, and it’s like watching a television show and I didn't really like that.

It’s not really in anyway a typical romance story I’d read, and because it’s about the three girls and not individual ones, you can’t classify it as a romance. Especially when only one of those girls ends up with her happily ever after. Anyway, it’s more about these three girls learning themselves. It was a nice coming of age story but not really my thing.

So basically, it’s about these girls having a challenging but rewarding summer working as Hampton nannies to a family, and we see them struggle with their own lives and social circles. I wouldn’t exactly call this a must read, but a nice to read. It was fast paced and kind of Gossip Girly, and I enjoyed it.

I loved, loved, LOVED this book! Its was very relatable, especially Mara. Literally, everything she said about her hometown was soooooo relatable. The book was very funny as well. I loved the chapter names, they were so funny, and it made the book even better. I also think the 3rd person narration made the book better. You were able to know all of characters' feelings and it made there book more interesting. It's a very casual read, its only about 300 pages, and it's fast-paced. There's not much of a plot,  but I personally didn't mind that. It was kind of like a sitcom in book form, short, light-hearted, funny, and kind of predictable. Nothing truly awful happened, all the problems they had were minor, and easily fixed, but I think that's what made it relatable. In high school every small problem seems like the end of the world and then you fix it and you can laugh about it later. I think I liked it so much because I truly related to it. I kept finding myself thinking "been there," or "haha, me too." I can't personally relate to spending my summers in the Hamptons, or living in New York, or Buying designer clothes, but I could relate to their feelings, amongst other things. I think this is a great book for 8th grade and up, and for someone looking a for a quick, light-hearted read. Overall, this book was so good, and I would definitely recommend it!
