Funny short book. I wonder how many references I missed.

A silly, funny book which I probably would have enjoyed a lot more if only I'd paid attention in history classes.

Funny and amusing at first, but then joke gets somewhat tiring.
The book is supposed to be a parody of how English history was taught in public schools at the time it was written (1930). Therefore, I think the real issue is that I don't have the relevant experience (being an 80s child) to get the references

This probably would have been funnier if I knew anything about British history. I think it's not the kind of book you want to read straight through, anyway; it would've done fairly well as a website one could just click through when one was bored.
