I quite liked this particular school-read. The story of Jeanne d'Arc has always interested me and Schiller's adaption - though perhaps not the historically most accurate version - was pleasing to read.

The Maid of Orleans aka Schiller was so pissed that the French killed her, that he wrote a play where she lives at the end. Actually great and got some homosexual and feminists subtext which is actually nice. wouldn’t say it’s a good start to get into Schiller works tho.
