Great memoir of the New York No-Wave scene, whether you're a fan or not (I'm not). Gordon's writing is hyper-intelligent, cutting, no-nonsense. I gained a new respect for this pioneer of punk-rock feminism and art.

Here is a love letter: an explanation, an affirmation and a reclamation.

More of an outline of someone’s life via their emotions rather than detail all of their accomplishments/events. At times the tangents Kim goes on are better than her original points. Definitely wish it was longer.

Her descriptions of her life, being a musician, and thoughts on art and music are 5 stars. But she lost me when she spent time shit talking other musicians. Most notably other women artists. Which is a shame to see from a supposedly feminist icon.
