This is the second book in the Ravenhead Corporation series and it focuses on the lives of Max and Victoria. This story is filled with twists and unexpected turns. It takes us on a journey that shows there is a fine line between love and hate and that sometimes the only way to experience true happiness is let down your guard and open yourself up to lifetime of possibilities.
Victoria is forced to deceive the one person who truly loves her and Max is torn between loving and hating the woman he had finally opened his heart to. Will they be able to put their differences aside to work together against a common enemy or will the threat of betrayal destroy their chance at happiness before it ever begins?

Solid 3.5 star
This just missed out on a 4 star as I thought for a quick read there was loads of steamy scenes where as I would have liked a bit more time spent on the story. In saying that it was still a great quick read about insta love, a strong alpha male and a plot that brings up some good twists and keeps you hooked until the end.

Maxwell Cunningham met a beautiful woman in a bar one night and had sex with her and then she is gone. He is shocked when the woman shows up in his office to work for him on a recommendation from his old professor, William Marx.
Victoria Petrov is on a mission to steal information from Ravenhead Corporation for her dealers. She knows she has to do whatever it takes to gain Maxwell's trust.
Will Victoria be able to complete her mission without Maxwell finding out? Will Maxwell ever be able to trust Victoria again?
This was a good book packed with sex and betrayal.
I liked Maxwell and understood why his heart was a little guarded and I was shocked that he never did more of a background check on Victoria but I did understand that he had complete faith in William Marx.
Victoria was going through so much with Catchfire and being forced to do something that she didn't want to do but I did understand why she did it. I knew everything would backfire on her but I was waiting to see what happened.
I liked when the truth began to come out about everything and Victoria had no idea what was going on and who she was.
The end was super intense in the hanger and I liked that Maxwell and Victoria were able to overcome everything!
I can't wait to see what happens next!

After losing his fiancee some time ago, Matthew's not interestedin love. That is until he finds Victoria (or she finds him). After throwing himself wholeheartedly into Ravenhead, he hasn't had the time or inclination for relationships, satisfying his needs with one-night stands. And that's all Victoria was supposed to be - one night of incredible sex. But when Victoria shows up for her new job, it's at Ravenhead and things just got a lot more complicated.
So hot!! When you're looking for a sexy story with substance, you can't go wrong with anything from Crimson Syn!
