Omg what an epic read. It was an "I couldn't put it down" kind of read.
The characters come to life in this book as the author masterfully sucks you in letting you know only as much as Cage. It's all told from his POV in first person which really lets you see the world through his eyes.
The secondary characters and especially the female protagonist are amazing and i absolutely Love Eira.
The story draws you in and throws on this emotional rolllercoaster. It's tense, it's funny and it's sweet at times. I had times where I physically held my breathe and lent forward on the edge of my seat and points where tears glistened my eyes ... I was not crying *wipes eyes* shut up *sniffle* must be something in my eye ok.
The characters are likeable but realistic and it really is a case of not knowing who to trust. I can't stress enough how much I absolutely loved this book and can't wait for the next instalment.

Cage has lived all his life avoiding touch. The slightest touch from his causes terror In whoever was unlucky enough to brush his skin, so why does it feel so good? Torn between craving touch and fighting the darkness inside him cage reaches breaking point.
Unable to take much more Cage is at his lowest when a whirlwind enters his life called Eira. Cage's whole world is tipped upside down and his eyes opened to things he never thought possible but what is this beautiful stranger keeping from him?
Thrown into a world of danger Cage has to adapt and learn quickly how to harness the darkness if he is to survive
