Ugh, I don't even know where to begin. Its got the feels, steam, a
good plot and amazing storyline. I can't wait to start the next one!!!

Hot Mess...yeah that's a lot of us! In this case, the single mom running after two kids, working horrible hours, and forgetting sleep seems to be the Hot Mess.
Dragging since her divorce from he who shall not be named, Lexi has been doing everything she can to tread water. Dating?!?! No way with what time? That is until a girl's night out put a certain hottie in her sights.
It was never supposed to be this good. Never supposed to be more. But once will never be enough and neither wants it to be.
But Lexi isn't the only mess...Secrets and unanswered questions make the end of this story just another beginning!
I am chomping at the bit for the second half of the duet! I need to know what happened, what will happen, and with whom!?!?!

New to me author....
I LOVED this book. An author I love recommend this book on her page and I'm so glad she did. I adored Luke and Lexi!! I can't wait for the second part of this wonderful story.

Hot read
Lexie and Luke are falling for each other but will Luke's brother Cole or Luke's past coming back to haunt him destroy their love affair. This quick paced story was an awesome read. The twists and turns as well as the steamy sex made the pages turn quickly. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

The first thing that struck me was that Lexi and Luke are written so similarly. I enjoy alternating perspectives in stories, but they need to be done well; i.e. the characters need to sound like distinct individuals. The writing for Lexi's and Luke's 'voices' sounded essentially the same. And that is a major turn off for me.
Plus, at one point I wanted to slap Lexi for being such a whiny little b***h. If she said "We're not compatible" one more time I was going to demand a refund.
Then the ending happened, and I cursed myself for getting invested enough to want to read the second book! Well played, Emily Goodwin, well played.
