Winry plays a big role in this book and I love to see it! She does some very surprising things that will likely catch readers off-guard. Even better. Of course, the Elric brothers are bouncing off the walls when she pulls her stunts, but they are also on the mission to see their old teacher who hasn’t changed much from what they remember her to be. There are laughs, but also serious moments, which is what I love about this series.

Winry and the Elric brothers travel to see the brothers’ teacher. On the way, they stop in a town that’s a mecca for automail. They meet an adorable pickpocket and come across the family of a great automail engineer.

The pickpocket’s story is quite sad. We keep meeting victims of the war with Ishalban (spelling?).

Izumi is a great character! So far, this Shonen has the best female characters that I’ve seen. I want to know everything about Izumi. She’s a total badass and her story is so interesting!
