The characters on the cover are not characters in the book? 
And the parasites are not like, bonding with each other or whatever.

To be honest,  the description was very misleading. The slugs don't tell what people are feeling on the inside. They are just parasites. The cover art is very different from the inside, and the story was just odd. one of Laura's stalkers looked just like her current date and I was confused for a bit. Another character is thrown in for no reason than to be a goal for another character to get too

and they don't make it

. Just kept thinking to myself "When is this over?" which was sad because the description made me interested in reading the book.

The art is OK, however the fact that the cover art is so different really bothered me. If the writing were good I probably would've been OK with that, but as a package it just annoyed & disappointed me.
