This series just keeps getting better and better. Thana and her mates as always face a lot of challenges in this book, but they meet them head on and together. There was a lot more action going on in this book and a lot more moving parts with Lucifer actively trying to get Thana to be his queen. I love how Thana has to develop a relationship with all her mates and there is some struggle there and she doesn't instantly fall in love with them. I love how confident Thana is becoming in herself and in her powers. I can't wait for the next book because the ending was just gut wrenching.

This is the third book in the Dark Angel Chronicles and the series just keeps getting better. I am loving the development/evolution of the relationships between Thana and her mates. The story is a wild ride of ups and downs with engaging action, heartwarming moments and the hot steam. The story kept me captivated the entire time and has me on the edge of my seat awaiting the next book.

I have been waiting to read this book since October when i finished book 2 Innate and boy was it a delight. Thana and Raph her boss, Christian her best friend, Gage - a cursed soldier, punished for centuries for speaking his mind boy do i love him and then Cyrus - the son of Death himself wowza are hotter than fire. Now though we have Thana adding Metatron as her fifth mate. after that we have a sacrifice from one of the mates which i cried at. boy i cant wait to get book 4 i need it.

Balance is the third book in Serenity Rayne’s The Darker Angel Chronicles. Book three picks up where book two left off – well, more or less. Thana is still pregnant with two of her mates' children, and she’s struggling with the addition of Metatron to her collection of mates. She’s worried about what the addition of an angel of Heaven (light) will do to the precarious balance that has been attained with her men. The balance must be preserved it could mean danger and potentially death to her and Cyrus. A lot of change is coming and Thana and her men must brace for it. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of a story.
Balance is an engaging story from beginning to end. I can’t say too much without revealing a lot of spoilers, but if you enjoyed reading book one then you’re going to want to pick this book up, too. Thana and her men show some development which I really appreciate. I also appreciate that there is a lot less “screaming” in this book as well. There is still screaming but it’s not used everytime someone is yelling or being loud.
There is quite a bit of steamy in this book as well and not just between Thana and her men. This book is really packed with twists, danger, steamy scenes, and even some sadness. I do feel that there are some missed opportunities for more details in certain scenes though.
I’m choosing to rate this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. There are some places where things are rushed a bit, but the character development is really well done. I just hope the next book will have a bit more detail in the right places that call for them.

This is a fun series and an easy read. I had a bit of a harder time with this one because it was more violent than I had expected but I should be used to this kind of stuff and it did happen pretty subtly. If you’re looking for a good angels/demons/ RH/ paranormal romance with good banter and lots of sexy ness, this is a good one!
