Contemporary is just not for me!
There’s nothing I can say here that a million other reviews haven’t already mentioned, but:
- you really have to suspend your belief that these scientists at Stanford are smart people - especially olive.
- the extra POV chapter is awful and feels like a completely different version of Adam.
- there’s a real question of ethics with the entire relationship - both in terms of a power imbalance between MCs and how fair it is to other students in the program.
- the villain is simultaneously OTT and boring somehow.
- there’s a few too many completely illogical sequences.
- olive’s friends kinda suck.
- I don’t particularly like books that are clearly just vehicles for popular and/or annoying tropes. This book was one for miscommunication and fake dating.
Idk, every time I read contemporary romance, I get that “HE’S JUST A GUY” sound ringing in my head.

It was fun to read the writing is nothing out of this world and it was pretty predicable however I found myself falling in love with the characters and there love for each other.

Precioso. Buenísima trama, la protagonista es genial, muy divertida y Adam... es amor!!!
Me ha gustado la trama final, de verdad, como se solucionó y... Adam... <3
