DNF @77 pages
The pacing was slow and the main character Flair was such a drag.

Small town, cozy, witchy vibes with some multigenerational mother/daughter drama. Parts were super cute and unique but overall it was just ok for me.

This book really is magical. I’ve been having a really rotten time of late - it’s been tough and this book somehow found its way to me at exactly the right time. It squished my little heart of stone in a warm, mystical hug. Spooky, filled with cookies and just oozing Halloween charm. Imagine Chocolat, Charmed and Hocus Pocus all smooshed together.

Even within all this magic, there is a very human element and I understood Flair’s struggle to balance all aspects of life whilst trying to find herself and her own happiness/peace. Something we all want.

Trying too hard with the witch side of things. Too cosy for me.

Hmm...how to not hate on a book that had me wanting to DNF it 12 times... Let's just say that honesty really is the best policy - that, and,  not saving all the action for the last 2 chapters.
I was really NOT a fan of this book. It's only saving grace was that the characters (specifically Cyn and Flair + Jude) had so much potential that I just wanted to get it done with and see how it all ended. But, not in an "I'm interested way" but in a "I have predictions and just want to know if they were correct or not."
P.s. This book is less Gilmore Girls meets Practical Magic than it is Mother Gothel from Tangled X the mom from Halloweentown. If you love Halloween, you might hate this book.

Interesting story. I found myself irritated at times by the main protagonist. She was the source of her own issues and it took a lot to get her to resolve the problem. The problem does get resolved and HEA comes.
