Rounded up from an average issue rating of 3.90; I found this arc to be very interesting and the set up was pretty solid, decently twisty (better twists towards the beginning, though). I wish it had stuck the landing just a little bit more, but overall, I enjoyed it.

Truthfully only read this for Maps (Gotham Academy). I wish they would do more with her! Otherwise, the comic itself is nothing to write home about.

Whose horrible idea was it to take DC's most beloved and highest-selling title away from James Tynion IV and give it to Joshua Williamson? This is easily some of the worst comic book writing I've seen, especially in contrast to the high quality output Tynion had been giving us. It was difficult to even finish reading this volume. Page after page of awful dialogue and a corny villain had me tossing it aside in frustration.

When the Gotham Academy backup feature is the best part of the book you know there’s a problem. And it wasn’t good either. Williamson is just not a good writer. Things happen, because. Then they reverse themselves. Or not. Well, yes. And then they’re over. It was like watching a bad video game.

I really liked the art in this but the story didn’t blow me away. I struggle with Batman Inc related stories although I know other people love that period so I can understand it working for others.
